Hi, my name is Sophie and I am the founder of Good Palpations Pilates,  and have a passion for holistic wellness and a desire to help people live healthier, more flexible lives. 

I first discovered Pilates in 2006 when I was looking for some simple exercises to keep me in shape now that I was a busy mum of 2 with little time to go to a gym. 

I found Pilates refreshing and empowering and found that after each session I had more body awareness and an ability to focus on alignment and functional movement.

Over the years of practicing Pilates I believe that all bodies can benefit from this method of movement no matter where you are in your fitness journey, as it focuses on developing long, lean muscles through control, flexibility and core strength.

After 14 years of practicing Pilates, I finally found the courage to train as an instructor and during my training in 2020 I moved out to Valencia, Spain where I completed my training and set up classes in the community which I thoroughly enjoyed. 

Now back in Scotland, Its now been 20 years since discovering Pilates and 5 years since I completed my training and i can tell you it still makes me feel amazing. I love sharing what I've learned as well as learning new ways to move my body and keep in shape but I can also tell you that just because it's been 20 years, doesn't make it easy. I'm getting older and I continue to push myself but I love it and I hope that I can express that when I teach.
